Greetings! Hope this spring finds you all well! The roses are blooming with all their heart…. and I am kind of jealous of all the gorgeous geranium bushes everywhere I look as mine died this past winter due to lack of water. I blame the pets.
And speaking of pets, here is Peaches this past winter all curled up on one of the second quilts I ever made for my dear Grandma Athy. She looooooved her blue and white anything….. especially her kitchen and laundry room. I think Peaches is a wise kitty to curl up on it in the sewing room.
So I took a class recently with Ann Hinman (sp?) and turned it into a bag. I still need to finish the elastic gather…… will do!
So, if you are into quilting then you probably know about the FWQ craze. (oh fine…..Farmer’s Wife Quilt) It’s like 500 blocks (oh fine again…..111 in the book but you need 145 if you make the king sized version) and they’re all template cut. No way around it, we tried. I mean, there’s a blog out there somewhere that turned them into rotary cut directions but I digress. The blocks are 6.5″ unfinished. That sure is small when there are like 25 pieces in ONE block. But I wanna play too, so ya. Those are mine so far.
A little scrappy do-hicky thingy from Halloweenie.
FINALLY got this ready to pin after many years of being in UFO status….. it’s a lot of balloons and “Happy Birthday!” fabrics…… just in time for my bday next month.
Poor kitteh, but it was too perfect to pass up.
Kitteh likes his hat.
No more kitteh hat.
I made a doodle. Want to explore mandalas in thread w/ beads… this morphed into a flower.
Another multi-year UFO top now COMPLETED and ready to be pinned. Yay! #highfive (LOL, I don’t even have a Twitter account. What does that hashtag even do? I’m SO OUT OF IT!) Oh, and this was a class with Mary Mashuta.
And just for fun, me and my Dad having Christmas dinner together at my house.
And another just for fun, me and my Mom pretending to be Mermaids on a shop hop last year.
